Typically examining 500-2,000 samples for collaborators undertaking clinical trials, we use our three triple-quadruple mass spectrometers and purification equipment to prepare samples, screen for and measure target drugs and provide pharmacokinetic analysis of the results.

In cases where a validated extraction and processing method has not been established, we have extensive experience in developing, testing and validating new protocols.

The full ISO accreditation standards require that all processing is undertaken by a member of the MORU Clinical Pharmacology team; however collaborators wishing to observe will be supported where possible.

We encourage you to complete an enquiry form as early as possible to enable us to schedule your work alongside the MORU network’s on-going research.

Sending your samples

We can normally receive samples of urine, plasma or whole blood from which we will extract your target using methods including;

  • Solid Phase Extraction
  • Liquid Extraction
  • Protein Precipitation

The matrix and target will determine how we need your samples to be provided but instructions are available here. Please note, the earlier you talk to us, the better; letting us know which tubes you use to store your samples, making sure the labels are correct etc. are all important. This helps avoid delays and ensures the quality of results.
