Kanyarat Sueksakit

Research Assistant

Kanyarat Sueksakit joined the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at MORU in 2023 as a Research Assistant in the Discovery Team. Kanyarat has a background in cell and molecular biology and omics-based approaches in biomedical research.

Current research focuses on pharmacology and the investigation of drug response and disease mechanisms using cell-based experimental models. Research activities involve the design and conduct of assays related to cytotoxicity, drug permeability, drug metabolism, and drug–drug interactions, alongside the analysis of experimental data.

This work integrates cell-based experimental models with molecular and omics-based approaches to support translational pharmacology and biomarker-oriented research. These approaches include gene expression analysis (e.g. RT-qPCR), protein-based assays, including immunoassays (e.g. ELISA), and sample preparation for LC–MS/MS-based analyses. Ongoing multidisciplinary research also involves experimental approaches supporting physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling, as well as environmental health research related to PM2.5 exposure.

Research interests include improving the understanding of disease mechanisms and drug responses, and supporting the development of effective and safe therapeutic strategies, particularly in infectious and tropical diseases.
