Vilayvone is a Consultant in the Epidemiology Department at Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) base in Lao P.D.R. Prior to joining MORU, Vilayvone worked as an Epidemiologist at Department of Health, Vientiane Capital, Laos.

Vilayvone earned a Bachelor degree in Dental surgery from University of Health Science and Bachelor of Arts major in English from Thipvaly collage both from Laos P.D.R. Her research interest includes Economic development, public policy.
