Qian Wang
DPhil Student
A DPhil student at the University of Oxford, Qian has been part of the Epidemiology department at MORU since 2021. Currently a member of MORU Epidemiology’s Geospatial Dynamics group, Qian is working on a DPhil on the spatial temporal distribution of global scrub typhus under the supervision of Prof Richard Maude, Prof Nicholas Day and Dr Benn Sartorius. Qian’s research interests include: scrub typhus, spatial epidemiology, GIS, mathematical modelling, and vector-borne infectious diseases.
Before joining MORU, Qian was a research assistant in the School of Public Health in Tsinghua University. She earned her Masters degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences with a major in geography and her Bachelors degree from Wuhan University.
