What is the MOTIP?
Mahidol - Oxford Translational Innovation Partnership (MOTIP) works to ensure that the world class global health research being done in MORU and at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine in Mahidol University is translated into  tangible positive impact. We do this by identifying projects with high impacting potential and guiding them along translational pipelines. Beyond the support we provide our projects, we work tirelessly to foster a community in which clinicians and researchers are actively pursuing the full translational potential of their projects.
What is translational research?
Translational research is the process by which scientific discoveries that are made in the lab or the clinic are developed into products and interventions for the overall benefit of human health. Generally, the field of translational research can be divided into two aim areas. The first deals with the developing studies done in the lab into pre-clinical trials for the eventual use in humans. While the second deals with promoting the adoption of a new system of best practices in the community.
Who We Support?
Our support currently focuses on the excellent researchers here in the MORU network and those working at Mahidol University. They come from a multitude of different fields and specialties. We don’t have a specific preference on type or area of research and are accepting of all projects that have the potential to make an impact on the global health community.
