Tim Pollington
Data Scientist
Tim is currently working with Professor Sir Nick White on a range of infectious diseases including Chagas disease and malaria.
Tim also has research interests on the following topics which he is keen to collaborate on:
- visceral leishmaniasis, PKDL & VL/HIV co-infection
- simulating outbreaks of VL at the village level
- within-host models in the sandfly & human
- modelling of L.donovani transmission in East Africa
- spatiotemporal modelling of infectious diseases
- deconvolution of observed time series
- interrupted time series analysis of areal data
- tau statistic - a spatiotemporal clustering statistic that can assess the presence of clustering of cases and estimate its magnitude & range
