Ni Ni is working as HIV innovative and research advisor for Medical Action Myanmar and Myanmar Oxford Clinical Research Unit. Currently, she is also PhD Fellow student at the University of Antwerp, Belgium with the research areas of relevant interventions to tackle the gaps in HIV prevention and treatment care in Key Affected Populations (KAPs), Myanmar.

Ongoing analysis:

  • Demonstration of engagement and treatment outcomes of HIV, TB and PMTCT patients
  • a cross-sectional study on the prevalence of chlamydia or gonorrhoea diagnosed using a point of care nucleic acid amplification test (Xpert® CT/NG) among female sex workers attending the MAM satellite.
  • Perception, acceptability of Pre-exposure prophylaxis of HIV infection among men who have sex with men and transgender in Suburban Yangon, Myanmar (mixed-method)
  • Treatment failure in HIV-positive children in Myanmar
  • Outpatient opioid substitution therapy integrated with HIV/HCV care in low-and middle-income countries: A systematic review.
  • HIV test uptake and cascade of care among people with intravenous drug users in Myanmar
  • HIV viral load uptake and utilization after rapid decentralized testing with GeneXpert in Urban area, Myanmar
  • Specialized HCV care for people who inject drugs in remote Myanmar with tele-mentoring of general practitioners and peer-led community support
