APMEN Surveillance and Response Working Group coordinator

Massaya is the coordinator for the MORU-hosted Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) Surveillance and Response Working Group (SRWG). Based at the Epidemiology Department at MORU in Bangkok, Massaya works under the supervision of SRWG co-chair Professor Richard Maude to coordinate the working group activities of APMEN country partners and partner institutions to achieve the Asia Pacific regional malaria elimination goal of 2030.

Before joining MORU, Massaya coordinated activities for various organizations including Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Trade Agency, and UNESCO. With a social science background, she holds an MSc in Public Administration from Leiden University, the Netherlands, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from York University, Canada. Massaya is primarily interested in public policy research, with a focus on labour and developmental economics.
