In addition, Professor Nick Day, and Dr Daniel Paris of MORU in Bangkok are closely involved with the rickettsial research of the Collaboration. Drs Phetsouvanh and Paris are carrying out their PhD fieldwork in the Collaboration and students from the Internal medicine and Paediatric Residency training programme (see http://www.healthfrontiers.org/Projects/Laos/laos.htm) and the Francophone Institute of Tropical Medicine (see http://www.ifmt.auf.org) carry out collaborative research projects with us.
